Professional competence of graduates of PF UJEP from the perspective of headmasters in the Ústí Region

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou profesní úrovně absolventů učitelských studií na Pedagogické fakultě UJEP v Ústí nad Labem z pohledu ředitelů základních a středních škol tohoto regionu. V teoretické části se krátce věnujeme historickému vývoji přípravy učitelů a dále aktuálním požadavkům na učitele, jak je stanovuje současná legislativa České republiky. Zvláště se zabýváme standardem učitele, kompetencemi, základními modely přípravy učitelů a možnostmi získání učitelské kvalifikace. V empirické části hodnotíme zjištění, která jsme získali pomocí dotazníkového šetření na dvaceti základních školách v Ústeckém kraji. Z odpovědí ředitelů škol a jejich zástupců zjišťujeme jejich pohled na klady a nedostatky absolventů PF UJEP. V závěru práce přinášíme zhodnocení výsledků. Nejlepšího hodnocení dosahují, podle názoru ředitelů škol, absolventi PF UJEP v oblasti odborné připravenosti, nejhorších v oblasti administrativy a udržování kázně.

Abstract:

Abstrakt This bachelor thesis is focused on the problems connected with the professional level of the graduates of education studies at the Faculty of Education UJEP in Ústí nad Labem from the perspective of the primary and high schools principals in this region. In the theoretical part we briefly focus on the historical development of the education of teachers and the present requirements for teachers which are defined by the current legislation of the Czech Republic. We especially deal with teacher's standard, competences, basic models of the education of teachers and possibilities of getting the pedagogical qualification. In the empirical part we evaluate the findings that we got by the questionnaire's survey in twenty elementary schools in the region of Ústí nad Labem. According to the answers of the principals and their assistants we find out their view on the positives and lacks of the graduates from the Faculty of Education UJEP. In the conclusion we evaluate the results. According to the principals of the elementary schools the graduates reach the best evaluation in the field of specialized preparation and the worst evaluation in the field of administration and maintaining the discipline.
