The aim of this master's thesis is to analyze the seed of the Linux random number generator during the boot of the computer. The first part is devoted to the theory needed by the following analysis. It mentions some frequently used definitions of the term entropy, gives an overview of the Linux random number generator and its interfaces. The implementation used is also described.
