Demographic factors of material conditions of quality of life of seniors in Brno

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na materiální kvalitu života seniorů na území města Brna. Cílem práce je stanovit význam klíčových demografických faktorů materiálních podmínek kvality života seniorů v Brně. Cíl práce byl realizován dotazníkovým šetřením prostřednictvím 250 respondentů vybraných podle kvótního výběru. Odpovědi byly hodnoceny metodou analýzy slovních znaků (čtvercová kontingence a Pearsonův koeficient). Jako významná se ukázala míra závislosti mezi výší starobního důchodu a pohlavím (P = 0,44), vzděláním (P = 0,56) a oborem zaměstnání (P = 0,57). Také bylo zjištěno, že čím vyšší je starobní důchod, tím vyšší jsou výdaje na potraviny (P = 0,46), zájmy (P = 0,45) a spoření (P = 0,45). Materiální kvalita života je nejčastěji ovlivněna vzděláním a oborem zaměstnání posledního dlouhodobého povolání.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the material quality of life of seniors in the city of Brno. The aim of this work is to determine the importance of key demographic factors of material conditions of quality of life of seniors in Brno. The aim of the work was realized by a questionnaire survey through 250 respondents selected according to the quota selection. The answers were evaluated by the method of word character analysis (square contingency and Pearson's coefficient). The degree of dependence between the amount of old-age pension and gender (P = 0.44), education (P = 0.56) and branch of employment (P = 0.57) proved to be significant. It was also found that the higher the old-age pension, the higher the expenditure on food (P = 0.46), interests (P = 0.45) and savings (P = 0.45). The material quality of life is most often influenced by education and the field of employment of the last long-term profession.
