Computed Tomography in Polytrauma Patients

Abstract:

Zobrazovací metody v traumatologii mají rozhodující význam na stanovení diagnózy. V dnešní době umožňují diagnostické metody využití nejrůznějších moderních zobrazovacích postupů, od klasického ultrasonografického vyšetření, až po vyšetření magnetickou rezonancí či výpočetní tomografií. Vyšetření počítačovou tomografií má dominantní postavení u polytraumatizovaných klientů, neboť u těchto stavů hraje čas klíčovou roli a díky rychlosti snímání CT obrazu je možno získat řádově během několika minut komplexní informace o celkovém stavu pacienta, vedoucí k rychlému stanovení diagnózy. Cílem bakalářské práce je analýza dat evidence pacientů, s diagnózou polytrauma, vyšetřených na pracovišti Výpočetní tomografie 2 ve Fakultní nemocnici v Ostravě za uplynulé období od 1. 1. do 31. 12. 2011. Teoretická část se zabývá definicí diagnózy polytrauma, úrazovými mechanismy, vyšetřováním diagnostickými metodami, především se zaměřením na výpočetní tomografii a intravenozní podání kontrastní látky pro CT vyšetření. Empirická část je tvořena jako retrospektivní studie, se zaměřením na polytramatické klienty, kteří byli vyšetřeni na pracovišti Výpočetní tomografie 2 ve Fakultní nemocnici v Ostravě v roce 2011. Studie analyzuje vyhodnocení primárních parametrů sledovaného souboru pacientů jako je pohlaví, věk, závislost ročního období, ve kterém došlo k poranění a mechanismy vzniku polytraumatu aj. Následně byl vypracován rozbor vlivů na dopravních nehodách silničních vozidel a stanoven přehled nejvíce postižených částí těla, rovněž byla provedena analýza dat zemřelých klientů.

Abstract:

The imaging methods in traumatology have a crucial at the assesment of diagnosis. Today´s diagnostic methods allow the using of various modern imaging procedures, from classical ultrasonographic examination to the magnetic resonance imaging or computed tomography. The investigation of computed tomography has a dominant position in polytrauma clients because the time has a key role and thanks quickness CT scan images is possible obtaine within a few minutes of the order of comprehensive information on the overall condition of the patient leading to the rapid diagnosis. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the data records of patients diagnosed with polytrauma, tested in the workplace by Computed tomography 2 in the University Hospital in Ostrava in the past period from 1st to 31th December the 2011. The theoretical part deals with the definition of the diagnosis of polytrauma, accident mechanisms, diagnostic methods of investigation particularly focusing on computional tomography and intravenous presentation of contrast agents for CT. The empirical part is consists as a retrospective study with focusing on polytrama clients who were checkup in the workplace by Computed tomography 2 in the University Hospital in Ostrava in 2011. The study analyse the evaluation of the primary parameters of the observed group of patients such as sex, age, dependency on season, in which has occured the wound and the mechanism of polytrauma, etc. Then was prepared the impact analysis at the accidents of road vehicles and specified overview of the most affected parts of the human body and also data analysis of deceased clients.
