Use of ARENA Simulation Software for Lift Control Strategies Development in High-Level Buildings

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je zpracovat a analyzovat modely pro různé strategie řízení výtahů ve výškových budovách v simulačním nástroji Rockwell ARENA. Byly zpracovány jednak různé přístupy k obecnému řízení a také byla nabídnuta možnost přidávání libovolného počtu výtahů a pater. Úvodní teoretické kapitoly se zabývají analýzou typů a druhů výtahů a jejich řízením, dále pak modelování a simulace. Dále byla zpracována výchozí případová studie ve spolupráci s Manchester Metropolitan University, vše bylo zobecněno a parametrizováno pro výškové budovy, kde počet výtahů i pater je zadaný uživatelem. Bylo vytvořeno vývojové uživatelské prostředí, v němž je možné sestavit konkrétní budovu s určitým počtem pater. Na různých modelech byly provedeny experimenty

Abstract:

The main goal of this diploma thesis is to develop and analyze models for different lift dispatcher strategies in high-rise buildings in Rockwell ARENA simulation software. There were researched more methods for common lift control (more strategies were researched and models developed and validated). There was also developed a common sandbox for simulation model construction where floor and lift count are a variable. There is made also the base case study in collaboration with Manchester Metropolitan University. This case study already involves some solved models and dispatcher strategies. All of these strategies were developed and modeled for a particular building. The main topic of the following practical work is to generalize and parameterize those finished models for high-rise buildings and make experiments. The user interface was made where user can construct his/her own models
