First Republic and the present from the perspective of gender inequality

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „První republika a současnost z pohledu nerovnosti mužů a žen“ je rozdělena na pět hlavních kapitol. Čtyři kapitoly jsou teoretické a jedna praktická. V první kapitole je popsáno období první republiky, konkrétně zde nalezneme podkapitolu o samotném období, o významných ženách této doby a o zastáncích ženské rovnoprávnosti. V neposlední řadě je tu i podkapitola o ženských spolcích. Druhá velká kapitola pojednává o dnešní době a obsahuje podobné podkapitoly. Pro lepší představu to jsou podkapitoly: Zastánci žen, Spolky a organizace a Nerovnost muže a ženy v zaměstnání. Třetí kapitola obsahuje srovnání situace dnes s dobou první republiky. Čtvrtá teoretická část je na téma gender ve škole. Praktická část diplomové práce se zaměřuje na předsudky žáků základní školy, převážně v oblasti pracovní nerovnosti mužů a žen.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis „First republic and the present from the perspective of gender inequality“ is divided into 5 main chapters. 4 chapters are theoretical and one is practical. In the first chapter, the first republic era is described, more specifically, we can find here a section about the era itself, important women of the era and advocates of women equality. Last but not least, there is also a section about female organisations. Second big chapter deals with the present era and contains similar sections. For better imagination, these sections are: Advocates of women, Movements and organisations, The inequality of a man and a woman in employment. The third chapter presents comparison of the current situation with the first republic era. The fourth theoretical part is about gender at school. The practical part of the diploma thesis is focused on the prejudices of primary school pupils, mainly in the field of employment unequality of men and women.
