Protection of Water Management Infrastructure against the possible Threat of a Terrorist Attack

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá oblastí ochrany vodohospodářské infrastruktury před možností teroristického útoku v regionu obce Jeseník. Autor si klade za cíl v teoretické části diplomové práce vymezit a představit problematiku čtenáři pro pochopení praktické části diplomové práce. Jelikož první polovina praktické části diplomové práce vymezuje a analyzuje současný stav vodohospodářské infrastruktury na vybraném území a snaží se nalézt zranitelné prvky ve vybrané oblasti. Druhá polovina praktické části je věnována případové studii pro jeden z kritických prvků vodohospodářské infrastruktury na analyzovaném území a snaží se předpovědět dopady teroristických útoků na vybraný prvek a s ním i celý systém vodohospodářské infrastruktury v Jesenickém regionu. Na závěr práce vyhodnocuje tyto dopady a navrhuje opatření pro posílení a zlepšení stávající situace.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the area of water management infrastructure protection against the possibility of a terrorist attack in the region of the municipality of Jesenik. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the author aims to define and present the issue to the reader in order to understand the practical part of the thesis. As the first half of the practical part of the thesis defines and analyzes the current state of the water management infrastructure in the selected area and tries to find vulnerable elements in the selected area. The second half of the practical part is devoted to a case study for one of the critical elements of the water management infrastructure in the analyzed area and tries to predict the effects of terrorist attacks on the selected element and with it the entire system of water management infrastructure in the Jesenik region. At the end of the work, he evaluates these impacts and proposes measures to strengthen and improve the current situation.
