Contemporary czech women playwrights in light of feministic theatre theories

Anotácia:

Práce shrnuje feministickou divadelní teorii v českém i zahraničním kontextu. Předkládá nastínění vývoje smýšlení o divadle v kontextu feminismu a teorií gender studies. Z interdisciplinárních témat se práce dotýká feministického náhledu na filosofii umění, sociální konstruovanost umění a teoriím o genderovanosti umění. Dále je nastíněn feministický náhled na divadelní historii, který se snaží objasnit alternativní pohledy na dějiny divadla z ženské perspektivy. Ve speciální kapitole je ženská divadelní historie nastíněna pro české divadlo. Druhá část práce analyzuje několik her současných českých dramatiček, které reflektují generovou problematiku. Práce se zaměřuje na společné rysy těchto her. Jedná se o hry celkem pěti autorek – Lenky Lagronové, Markéty Bláhové, Ivy Volánkové, Valerie Schulczové a Radmily Adamové. Analýza nastiňuje společné rysy her z feministické perspektivy, zejména se zaměřuje na analýzu ženských postav, rozklíčování společenských stereotypů a jejich použití v hrách a z analýzy vyplynulo, že v českém prostředí nevznikají hry pro potřeby feministického aktivismu, pouze je můžeme označit za reflektující genderovou problematiku.

Abstract:

The work covers feministic theatre theory in both, czech and foreign context. It presents outline of thinking about the theatre in context of feminism and gender studies. Concerning the interdisciplinar topics, the work touches the feministic view upon the arts philosophy, social construction of arts and theories about the gendering of arts. The feministic point of view to the theatre history is outlined as next - it tries to elucidate alternative views upon the theatre history from the women perspective. The women theatre history is discussed in special chapter for czech theatre. The second part of the thesis analyzes several plays from contemporary czech women playwrights, which reflect gender problematics. The work in concentrated to the similarities in these plays. It deals with plays of total five authors: Lenka Lagronová, Markéta Bláhová, Iva Volánková, Valerie Schulczová and Radmila Adamová. The analysis outlines similar features of the games from the feministic point of view. Especially, it concentrates to the analysis of women characters. Clarification and decoding of social stereotypes and their utilization in plays shows, that in czech context, there are no plays written for the feminism activism reasons. We shall just say, that they reflect the gender problematics.
