The underground economy in the Czech Republic and comparison with estimates in other countries

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou stínové ekonomiky v České republice. Zkoumá definice stínové ekonomiky od různých autorů, popisuje její strukturu v souladu s evropským standardem ESA 2010 a důkladně analyzuje faktory, které přispívají ke vzniku stínové ekonomiky. V práci jsou dále popsány různé metody, které jsou používány pro odhad rozsahu stínové ekonomiky, včetně zhodnocení jejich kladů a záporů. Praktická část práce popisuje vývoj stínové ekonomiky v České republice, analyzuje složení jednotlivých kategorií stínové ekonomiky a popisuje vývoj stínové ekonomiky v Evropské unii včetně komparace s dalšími státy Evropské unie.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the shadow economy in the Czech Republic. It examines the definitions of the shadow economy from various authors, describes its structure in accordance with the European standard ESA 2010 and thoroughly analyses the factors that contribute to the emergence of the shadow economy. The thesis also describes different methods that are used to estimate the extent of the shadow economy, including an assessment of their pros and cons. The empirical part of the thesis describes the development of the shadow economy in the Czech Republic, analyses the structure of individual categories of the shadow economy and describes the development of the shadow economy in the European Union, including a comparison with other EU countries.
