Evolution of the Mammalian Karyotype
Abstract:
This thesis focuses on an evolution of mammal karyotype. It explains some speciation models. It also addresses evolution of some specific mammal species, their distant relatives and ancestors. It too mentions connection between certain genome properties, such as genome length and body properties, such as metabolism. Last but not least, it explains evolution of certain sex chromosomes.
Abstract:
Tahle práce se věnuje evoluci savčího karyotypu. Vysvětluje některé modely speciace. Zabývá se také evolucí některých konkrétních savčích druhů, jejich vzdálených příbuzných a předků. Poukazuje i na spojení mezi vlastnostmi genomů, jako například délka a vlastnostmi organizmů, kupříkladu metabolizmus. V neposlední řade, se také zaobírá evolucí pohlavních chromozomů.
