Tato bakalářská práce seznamuje s osobností Davida Jana Novotného a jeho venkovskými prózami z okolí České Skalice. Pozornost je věnována jeho činnosti jako scénáristy a dramaturga, pedagoga, publicisty, ale především jeho spisovatelské dráze. This bachelor thesis introduces the figure of David Jan Novotný and his rural proses from around Česká Skalice. Attention is devoted not only to his work as a screenwriter and playwright, teacher, journalist, but also to his writing career.
