Anti-counterfeit Protection of Travel Documents

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou ochrany proti padělání cestovních dokumentů. V samotném úvodu jsou uvedeny definice a druhy cestovních dokladů, které jsou v současné době vydávány občanům České republiky. Dále práce obsahuje popis procesu vydání cestovního dokumentu, průběh jeho kontroly v případě překročení státních hranic a stručné informace o bezpečnosti cestovního dokladu, jakožto předmětu obsahujícího RFID čip. Pozornost je věnována ochranným prvkům, které jsou v dokladech v současnosti používány a také biometrii, která byla do dokladů v několika posledních letech postupně implementována. Stěžejní výstup práce představuje praktická část, ve které je použita Ramanova spektroskopie pro získání experimentálních dat charakteristických materiálů přítomných na cestovních dokladech, použitelných pro hodnocení jejich pravosti. Pomocí ultrafialového záření je prokázána a zdokumentována přítomnost ochranných prvků v několika českých i mezinárodních dokladech.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the issue of protection against forgery of travel documents. The introduction itself contains the definitions of different types of travel documents that are currently being issued to citizens of the Czech Republic. The work also includes a description of the process of issuing a travel document, the course of his inspection in case of state border crossing and concise information about the safety of the travel document as an object containing an RFID chip. Attention is focused on security features that are currently used in documents and also to the biometrics which has been gradually implemented to documents in recent years. The main target of the thesis is a practical part in which Raman spectroscopy is used for obtaining experimental data of the characteristic materials contained in travel documents applicable to the assessment of their authenticity. A means of ultraviolet radiation is demonstrated and documented through the presence of the security features proof in several Czech and international documents.
