Abstract:

Rozvoj informačních technologií způsobil i rozvoj finančních technologií a spolu se zpřísněním právních norem a standardů ovlivnil procesy směřující k přechodu od hotovostních plateb k bezhotovostním. Cílem práce bylo porovnat oběh a využití platebních karet a šeků v České republice a provést analýzu jejich nabídky ze strany bank. Pro dosažení cíle práce byli použity metody kvalitativní a kvantitativní analýzy, primární a sekundární data. Pro zpracování teoretické části práce byla využita metoda literární rešerše s použitím odborné literatury českých a zahraničních autorů. V práci bula též provedena analýza vývoje platebních karet a statistická analýza. Dále v práci byl proveden základní výzkum ve formě dotazníkového šetření pro uživatele platebních karet a šeků. Na základě provedené analýzy lze konstatovat, že oběh platebních karet v České republice neustále roste, a to jak v kontextu akceptace, tak v kontextu vydávaných karet. Oběh šeků v České republice je však spíše výjimečným jevem.

Abstract:

The development of information technologies has also caused the development of financial technologies and, together with the tightening of legal standards and standards, has influenced the processes leading to the transition from cash to cashless payments. The aim of the work was to compare the circulation and use of payment cards and checks in the Czech Republic and to analyze their offer by banks. Qualitative and quantitative methods, primary and secondary data were used to achieve the goal of the work. For the elaboration of the theoretical part of the thesis, the method of literary research was used using the literature of Czech and foreign authors. The work also analyzed the development of payment cards and statistical analysis. Furthermore, the basic research was conducted in the form of a questionnaire survey for users of payment cards and checks. Based on the analysis, it can be stated that the circulation of payment cards in the Czech Republic continues to grow, both in the context of acceptance and in the context of issued cards. However, the circulation of checks in the Czech Republic is rather exceptional.
