Czech Insurance Market Analysis

Abstract:

Práce má za cíl komplexně postihnout oblast pojištění jako nabídku služeb, umožňujících řešit nebo alespoň zmírňovat důsledky škodného potenciálu nejrůznějších činností a situací, se kterými se subjekt (občan) v profesním a občanském životě setkává. To se samozřejmě týká i korporátní sféry (podnikatelských subjektů, organizací a institucí). Rozsah práce je omezen na trh ČR s určitým přesahem do doby před jejím vznikem. Práce se zabývá zejména legislativními změnami, vznikem nových pojišťoven, vstupem zahraničních pojišťoven a rozšiřováním produktové nabídky. Důsledkem tohoto vývoje byl vznik konkurenčního prostředí na pojistném trhu, které dále formuje produktovou nabídku pojišťoven a mění do určité míry i vzájemné postavení subjektů pojistných smluv. Pojistný trh je pro potřeby této práce chápán extenzivně, tzn., že není úzce vymezen jen pojišťovnami a jejich produktovou nabídkou ale zahrnuje i další subjekty působící na trhu v legislativně vymezeném rámci, tvořeném jak národní legislativou, tak implementovanou legislativou EU.

Abstract:

The work aims to capture a complex area of insurance as a range of services, problem-solving or at least mitigate the potential consequences of loss of various activities and situations which the subject (citizen) in professional and civic life encounters. This of course applies to the corporate sector (businesses, organizations and institutions). The scope of work is limited to the market in the CR with some overlap into the period before its emergence. This work deals mainly with legislative changes, the emergence of new insurance companies, foreign insurance companies entering and expanding product offerings. This trend was the emergence of competitive insurance market, which further forms of insurance product offerings and changes to some extent, the relative position of the actors contracts. The insurance market is the needs of this work broadly understood, ie. it is not just a narrowly defined insurance companies and their product range but also includes other market actors to legally defined framework, consisting of both national legislation and implemented the EU legislation.
