Social Network

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis contains analysis of present-day frameworks. The frameworks are aimed at development of social networks. The bachelor's thesis mainly focuses on Elgg framework. The goal of this thesis is to design and implement a social network for students of FI, taking into consideration previous analysis of students' needs. The thesis contains modification of the framework using suitable open source plugins and implementation of a new plugin which complements funcionality of the network and makes study more effective. One subchapter is devoted to the implementation of the new plugin. The purpose of the plugin is to share experience with studies and express opinion on lectures and professors. The main priorities are improving interaction between students and informing about events concerning FI MU.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca obsahuje analýzu súčasných frameworkov zameraných na tvorbu sociálnych sietí, bližšie rozoberá fungovanie frameworku Elgg. Cieľom bakalárskej práce je navrhnúť a implementovať sociálnu sieť pre študentov FI na základe predchadzajúcej analýzy potrieb študentov z časti 1, pomocou vybraného frameworku. Súčasťou práce je aj úprava frameworku pomocou vhodných voľne dostupných pluginov a implementácia vlastného pluginu, ktorý dopĺňa funkcionalitu siete a sprehľadňuje, zefektívňuje štúdium. Implementovanému pluginu sa venuje samostatná podkapitola. Užívateľom poskytuje možnosť zdieľať skúsenosti so štúdiom a vyjadriť subjektívny názor na obsah predmetov, kritérie hodnotenia či prístup vyučujúceho. Prioritami sú lepšia interakcia študentov, zefektívnenie štúdia a prehľad o udalostiach na FI MU.
