Noble and Nobility in the Chronicle of so Called Dalimil

Abstract:

Obsahem této práce je konstrukce ideálu šlechtice v kronice tak řečeného Dalimila. Autorem této kroniky mohl být vzdělaný šlechtic a pokud jím nebyl, tak k této vrstvě měl blízko. Zastával výrazně prošlechtická stanoviska, jeho politické názory jsou přirozenou součástí textu. Tato práce se skládá ze dvou velkých kapitol. První kapitola se zabývá politickou činností šlechtice, potom snaží se najít reflexi lenního institutu, rytířské a dvorské kultury v kronice. Druhá kapitola hledá vlastnosti Dalimilova šlechtice, popisuje vztah zemské obce a panovníka v představách autora a nakonec šlechtu zasazuje do konstrukce autorovy ideální společnosti.

Abstract:

The theme of this thesis is construction nobleman´s ideal in chronicle of so called Dalimil. It´s possible, that author of this chronicle was educated noble, and if he wasn´t, he was close by this rank. He supported standpoints of nobility, his political opinions are natural part of the text. This thesis consists of two large parts. First part deals with political activity of noblemen, then it´s trying to find reflexion of feudality, vassality, courtesy and knighthood in the chronicle. Second part then seeks qualities of Dalimil´s noble, describes relation between community of the land and monarch and at last sets nobility into the construction of author´s society.
