This work describes implementation and practical evaluation of application for recognition and interpretation of basic gestures of sign language. Technology of image capturing is used. Táto práca sa zaoberá implementáciou a praktickým overením aplikácie na rozpoznávanie a interpretáciu základných gest znakovej reči. V práci je využitá technológia snímania obrazu. Najprv je v práci uvedenie do problematiky nepočujúcich a ich znakovej reči. Potom nasleduje prehľad metód na spracovanie obrazu. Ďalšou časťou je samotný postup riešenia.
