Foreigners in the Czech Republic during the economic crisis

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na vývoj a změny ve struktuře cizinců v České republice v období hospodářské krize. Je koncipována do dvou navazujících celků, z nichž první obsahuje teoretický základ a druhý je věnován analytickému zkoumání daného tématu. V teoretické části se autor zaměřuje hlavně na charakteristiku a historický vývoj migrační politiky na území ČR, poskytování mezinárodní ochrany a problematiku nelegální migrace, vývoj vybraných skupin cizinců a stručnou charakteristiku hospodářské krize v roce 2008. Druhá část je věnována analýze cizinců v ČR z hlediska vývoje počtu cizinců, zaměstnanosti, kriminality a věkové struktury cizinců. Pro účely daného zkoumání autor vychází z dostupných dat, zveřejněných Českých statistickým úřadem a jinými zdroji. Cílem práce je analýza dopadu hospodářské krize na skupinu cizinců na území ČR.

Abstract:

The thesis if focused on the development and changes in the structure of foreigners in the Czech Republic during the economic crisis. It is divided in two successive units, the first of which contains a theoretical basis and the other is dedicated to analytical exploration of the topic. In the theoretical part, the author focuses mainly on the characteristics and historical development of migration policy in the Czech Republic, providing international protection and the issue of illegal migration, the development of selected groups of foreigners and brief descriptions of the economic crisis in 2008. The second part is devoted to analysis of foreign nationals in the Czech Republic in terms of changes in the number of foreigners, employment, crime and the age structure of foreigners. For the purpose of this research the author comes out of the available data published by the Czech Statistical Office and other sources. The aim of the work is to analyze the impact of the economic crisis on a group of foreigners in the Czech Republic.
