Business model for the expansion of urban transport with bikesharing services in Ústí nad Labem

Abstract:

Od roku 1989 do roku 2017 došlo v ČR k nárůstu počtu osobních automobilů o 148 % a nejvíce používaným dopravním prostředkem se stal osobní automobil (39,1 %), nejméně používaným prostředkem bylo jízdní kolo (4,5 %). Statutární město Ústí nad Labem v současné době hledá trvale udržitelné způsoby městské dopravy. Jedním z možných řešení, jak vyřešit dopravní komplikace ve městech, je sdílení kol (bikesharing). Cílem práce je ověřit, jaký je zájem o službu bikersharingu ve statutárním městě Ústí nad Labem a jaké faktory tento zájem pozitivně či negativně ovlivňují. Data byla získána z dotazníkového šetření. Zároveň byla provedena komparace financování bikesharingu ve vybraných městech (Beroun a okolí, Zdice, Zlín, Plzeň a Liberec). V komparaci byly mimo jiné zjišťovány náklady jednotlivých měst a obcí na jednu výpůjčku sdíleného kola. Dále byly uskutečněny rozhovory (diskuse) s osobami, které by mohly ovlivnit fungování bikesharingu v Ústí nad Labem. Na základě kombinace rozhovorů, výsledků z dotazníkového šetření a komparace financování bikesharingu ve vybraných městech, byl pro město Ústí nad Labem sestaven nejvýhodnější business model pro provozování bikesharingu.

Abstract:

From 1989 to 2017, the number of passenger cars in the Czech Republic increased by 148 % and the most used form of transportation was a passenger car (39.1 %), the least used form of transportation was a bicycle (4.5 %). The statutory city of Ústí nad Labem is currently looking for sustainable forms of public transportation. One of the possible solutions to solve traffic complications in cities is bike sharing (bikesharing). The aim of the thesis is to verify what is the interest in bikersharing service in the statutory city of Ústí nad Labem and what factors positively or negatively affect this interest. Data were obtained from a questionnaire survey. At the same time, a comparison of bikesharing financing in selected cities (Beroun and its surroundings, Zdice, Zlín, Plzeň and Liberec) was done. In comparison, the costs of individual cities and municipalities for one loan of a shared bike were determined. There were also interviews (discussions) with people who could affect the operation of bikesharing in Ústí nad Labem. Based on a combination of interviews, the results of a questionnaire survey and a comparison of bikesharing financing in selected cities, the most advantageous business model for running bikesharing was compiled for the city of Ústí nad Labem.
