Alzheimer´s Disease from Nursing Staff View

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje nevyléčitelnému onemocnění - Alzheimerově chorobě. Práce je zaměřena na specifickou péči a ošetřování nemocných postižených touto chorobou v sociálních a zdravotnických zařízeních. Práce obsahuje dvě části- teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část je sumarizací pojmů, informací a poznatků týkající se dané problematiky - patofyziologie Alzheimerovy choroby, její etiologie, příznaků, stádií onemocnění, diagnostiky, nastíněna je prevence i možnosti léčby. Teoretická část je obohacena o zajímavé statistické údaje. Praktická část popisuje a analyzuje ošetřovatelskou péči o tyto nemocné, informovanost zdravotnických pracovníků o nemoci, možnosti jejich profesního vzdělání, seberozvoje a sebevzdělání. Data nezbytná k průzkumu jsou sesbírána prostřednictvím dotazníku v obou typech již zmíněných zařízeních. Výsledky průzkumného šetření jsou shrnuty v závěru práce. Ty se současně staly podkladem a inspirací při tvorbě praktických doporučení, která přispívají k začlenění nemocných zpět do společnosti a k pomoci při ztížené orientaci v jejich životním prostředí. Návrh manuálu je primárně určen zdravotníkům pečujícím o osoby s Alzheimerovou chorobou.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis deals with incurable diseases - Alzheimer´s disease. This work focuses on specific care and treatment of patients affected by this illness in social and health care facilities. The work consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is summary of terms, information, and knowledge on this issue - pathophysiology of Alzheimer´s disease, its etiology, symptoms of disease, diagnosis, prevention and outline of treatment options. The thoretical part is enriched with interesting statistic. The practical part describes and analyzes nursing care for these patients, health worker´s awareness of the disease, the possibility of their professional education, self-development and self-education. Data required for the survey are collected through a questionnaire in both types of facilities already mentioned. The results of an exploratory survey are summarized in the conclusion. They simultaneously became the basis and inspiration for the practical recommendations that contribute to the integration of patients back into society, help with difficult orientation in their environment. Draft Manual is primarily designed for the healthcare professionals carings for persons with Alzheimer´s disease.
