Analysis of dead wild boars in Zlín region at the time of African swine fever occurence

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na prase divoké, problémy, které způsobuje a africký mor prasat. Tato práce se zabývá analýzou uhynulých nálezů prasat divokých (Sus scrofa) v období od června roku 2017 do října roku 2018 nalezených ve Zlínském kraji v době výskytu afrického moru prasat. Tyto nálezy byly statisticky zhodnoceny a zařazeny podle následujících charakteristik: lokality jejich nálezu, pohlaví a věku, hmotnosti, doby od úhynu jedince do doby jeho nálezu, vzdálenosti od nejbližšího vodního zdroje a typu prostředí. Většina pozitivně testovaných nálezů na africký mor prasat byla selata a lončáci. Nejvíce uhynulých divokých prasat bylo nalezeno do 1 týdne od okamžiku úhynu. Bylo zjištěno, že nejvíce pozitivně testovaných divokých prasat hyne ve smíšených lesích a na orné a zemědělské půdě.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the wild boar, the problems that it causes and African swine fever. This thesis deals with analysis of dead bodies of wild boars (Sus scrofa) in the period from June 2017 to October 2018 found in Zlín region at the time of the occurence of African swine fever. These carcasses were statistically evaluated and ranked according to the following characteristics: location, sex and age, weight, time from death of the individual to the time of its finding, distance from the nearest source of water and type of environment. Most of the positively tested carcasses were piglets and feral pigs up to 2 years. Most of the dead feral pigs were found within 1 week of the time of their death. It was found that the most positively tested feral pigs die in mixed forests and on arable and agricultural land.
