The Organizational Structure of the Company in the Hospitality Industry

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá zhodnocením organizační struktury a fungováním jednotlivých oddělení a následné návrhy na zlepšení v hotelu Aquapalace Praha. Teoretická část se zabývá základními pojmy organizace a organizování. Vysvětluje, co to je organizační struktura, jaké jsou postupy při jejich tvorbě, základní typy a vazby organizačních struktur. Teoretická část se také věnuje organizačním strukturám v hotelnictví. Charakterizuje úrovně managementu v hotelu. Analytická část je zaměřena přímo na hotel Aquapalace. V úvodu je popsán hotel a jeho historie. Dále jsou uvedeny poskytované služby, popis aquaparku. Další část se věnuje organizaci hotelu, podrobnému popisu jednotlivých oddělení. SWOT analýza hotelu ukazuje jeho silné, slabé stránky, příležitosti a hrozby. V poslední části jsou návrhy na zlepšení některých nedostatků, které vyplynuly ze SWOT analýzy

Abstract:

The aim of my thesis is to evaluate the organizational structure of the organization and functioning of each departments of the hotel Aquapalace Praha and following suggestions for improvement at the Aquapalace Praha. The theoretical part deals with the basic concepts of organization and organizing. It explains what is the organizational structure, what are the procedures for their creation, basic types of organizational structures and relationships. The theoretical part also deals with organizational structures in the hotel industry. It characterizes the level of management at the hotel. The analytic part is focused on the hotel Aquapalace Praha. It contains hotel description, history, services and also mentions hotel´s aquapark. Other part describes the hotel organizational structures and particular departments. The SWOT analysis shows mainly the weaknesses, strength, Opportunities and Threats of the hotel. The last part of the work suggests how to deal with problems that came up from the SWOT analysis.
