Role of tourism in the economy of touristic area Orlické Mountain and Podorlicko

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá cestovním ruchem v Orlických horách a Podorlicku z pohledu ekonomiky. První část se věnuje vysvětlení teorie, základním charakteristikám cestovního ruchu, popisuje mezinárodní turistické organizace a destinační management a marketing. Druhá část popisuje konkrétní region, je provedena SWOT analýza cestovního ruchu a jsou popsány organizace cestovního ruchu v oblasti. Poslední kapitola se zabývá destinačním managementem v regionu. Dále popisuje jeho fungování v rámci různých organizací cestovního ruchu. V závěru jsou popsány nedostatky a problémy destinačního managementu a také návrhy jak podpořit cestovní ruch v regionu a tím místní ekonomickou situaci.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with tourism in the area of Orlické Mountain and Podorlicko from the perspective of the economy. The first part is devoted to an explanation of the theory, essential characteristics of tourism, international tourism organizations and Destination Management and Marketing. The second part describes the specific region, tourism SWOT analysis is made, and describes the tourism management in the area. The last chapter deals with the Destination Management and it’s operation within the tourism organizations. At the end are describes the problems and deficiencies of Destination Management and proposals to promote tourism in the region and local economy.
