Effect of the individual stages of the cleaning line on the quality of alfalfa seed

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je zpracovat přehledný popis týkající se vojtěšky seté a její semenářské produkce spolu s popisem jednotlivých zařízení určených k posklizňové úpravě jejich semen. Praktická část má za cíl porovnat vliv jednotlivých stupňů čistící linky na výslednou kvalitu osiva vojtěšky seté. Čistící linka je složena ze sítové čističky, pneumatického třídiče a optického třídiče. Metoda odběru vzorků je inspirována vyhláškou o požadavcích na odběr vzorků, postupů a metod zkoušení osiva a sadby č.61/2011 Sb.. Laboratorní rozbor vzorků provedla akreditovaná laboratoř OSEVA Agro Brno. Výsledná data jsou zpracována ve statistickém programu Statistica 14. Z výsledků vyplývá, že největší vliv na čistotu materiálu měl první stupeň čistící linky, zatímco celková kvalita materiálu byla výrazně ovlivněna druhým stupněm, třetí stupeň čištění výrazně neovlivnil celkovou čistotu materiálu a kvalitu mírně snížil. Na základě výsledků a studia literárních zdrojů, je možné doporučit vynechání optické separace.

Abstract:

This thesis aims to provide a clear description of alfalfa and its seed production, together with a description of the individual machines for the post-harvest treatment of its seeds. The practical part aims to compare the influence of the different stages of the cleaning line on the resulting quality of the alfalfa seed. The cleaning line consists of a sieve cleaner, a pneumatic sorter, and an optical sorter. The method of sampling is inspired by the decree on requirements for sampling, procedures, and methods of seed and seedling testing No. 61/2011 Coll. The laboratory analysis of samples was carried out by the accredited laboratory OSEVA Agro Brno. The resulting data are processed in Statistica 14 statistical software. The results show that the greatest influence on the purity of the material was the first stage of the cleaning line, while the overall quality of the material was significantly affected by the second stage, the third stage of cleaning did not significantly affect the overall purity of the material and slightly reduced the quality. Based on the results and the study of literature sources, the omission of optical separation can be recommended.
