Hezbollah armed struggle - Israel's security threat?

Abstract:

Konflikt Izraele a Hizballáhu na Blízkém východě trvá již 30 let a nezdá se, že by měl brzy skončit. Naopak, obě strany se podle všech ukazatelů připravují na poslední, totální válku, která by měla rozhodnout o výsledku tohoto konfliktu. V této bakalářské práci jsme se zaměřili na vývoj ozbrojeného hnutí Hizballáh od začátku libanonské občanské války, ve kterém hrál významnou úlohu, a díky které také vzniknul. Stručnš si představíme historii libanonské šíitské skupiny a její význam pro vznik hnutí Hizballáh. Budeme se snažit zmapovat ideologický a politický vývoj Hizballáhu a určit změny v jeho radikálním přístupu k ozbrojenému boji, ale také k libanonské politické scéně. Na základě těchto faktů, zjistíme, jak se Hizballáh aktivně zapojil do libanonského politického systému a na základě výsledků voleb uvidíme, jak se Hizballáh se podílel na vedení země. Nejdůležitější část práce shrne ozbrojený boj Hizballáhu a jeho změny v čase. Připomeneme si nejdůležitější události za posledních třicet let konfliktu, podle nichž zjistíme, jak se měnila intenzita bojů mezi Izraelem a Hizballáhem. Na základě vyjádření izraelských vojenských a politických vůdců se budeme snažit zjistit, zda byl Hizballáh vnímán Izraelem jako bezpečnostní hrozba a pokud ano, jak je tomu v současnosti.

Abstract:

Hezbollah ? Israel conflict in the Middle East lasts for 30 years and does not appear that he should soon end. On the contrary, both parties according to all indica preparing for the last all-out war, which should decide the outcome of this conflict. In this bachelor thesis we focus on the development of armed movement Hizballah since the beginning of the Lebanese Civil War, in which played its important role and through which was also created. We will briefly introduce the history of the Lebanese Shiite group and its importance for the emergence of Hezbollah. We will try to map out the ideological and political development of Hezbollah and to determine the changes in his radical approach to armed struggle but also on the Lebanese political scene. Based on these facts, we will discover how Hezbollah actively involved in the Lebanese political system and on the results of the elections we will see how the Hezbollah participated on leadership of the country. The most important part of this thesis will summarize the Hezbollah armed struggle and its changes over time. We remember the most important events of the last thirty years of conflict, by which we discover how varied the intensity of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah. Based on the statements of Israeli military and political leaders we will try to determine whether Hezbollah was seen by Israel as a security threat and if so, how is currently the case.
