Charging for the Use of the Railway in Selected EU Countries

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na přístupy provozovatelů dráhy k problematice zpoplatnění železniční dopravní cesty v některých státech Evropské unie. Analyzuje systémy zpoplatnění užití železniční infrastruktury a poukazuje na rozdíly mezi těmito systémy napříč vybranými státy. Na konkrétních příkladech porovnává vypočtené poplatky za jízdu vlaku u některých typických druhů vlaku.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the approaches of railway operators to the issue of railway tolls in some Member States of the European Union. It analyzes the systems of charging for the use of railway infrastructure and points out the differences between these systems across selected countries. Using specific examples, it compares the calculated train running charges for some typical train types.
