Olfactory testing using Test of Odor Pleasantness with focus on patients with head and neck disorders
Abstract:
Cílem disertační práce bylo zjistit, zda Test libosti pachů (TOP - Test of Odor Pleasantness) lze použít v klinické praxi ke zhodnocení čichu u vybraných skupin pacientů s onemocněním hlavy a krku. Výsledky srovnat s kontrolní skupinou osob subjektivně udávajících normosmii. Poukázat na možnost rutinně provádět vyšetření čichu samostatně všeobecnou sestrou pod vedením lékaře.
Abstract:
The objective of our study was to determine whether Test of Odor Pleasantness (TOP) can be used in clinical practise. Olfactory testing were focused on patients with head and neck disorders. The results were compared with the group of healthy volunteers. A second point to show that nurses can investigate the sense of smell in collaboration with the physician.
