Abstract:

Pan učitel televize - Hra vs. disciplína v raném vysílání pro školy ČSTV (1958-1969) Cílem práce je na základě analýzy historických pramenů představit specifické způsoby vzájemné kooperace Československé televize, Ministerstva školství a kultury a Výzkumného ústavu pedagogického v rámci raných koncepcí televizního vzdělávání v Československu a upozornit na roli, v jaké při konstituování tohoto projektu stála Komunistická strana Československa. Každá z institucí, které se procesu zavádění televizního vysílání pro školy do programového schématu ČSTV účastnily, interpretovala společný předmět zájmu (pořad samotný) odlišným způsobem. Zatímco Československá televize přemýšlela o pořadech televizního vysílání pro školy jako o zvláštním druhu populární zábavy, který by doplňkovým způsobem prezentoval školní učivo, ambicí instituce školní bylo instruovat, a tedy co nejefektivněji zprostředkovávat audiovizuální didaktickou informaci. Studie se zaměřuje především na pragmatickou rovinu komunikačního procesu mezi televizním divákem a textem a snaží se upozornit na způsoby, jakými proces adaptace zahraničních modelů televizního vzdělávání v československém kontextu raných šedesátých let, časoprostorové okolnosti sledování pořadů a tematickou i formální podobu jednotlivých televizních lekcí ovlivňovaly opoziční logiky hry a disciplíny. Československá televize chápala televizní vzdělávání jako doplňkovou službu školám. Po krátkém období let 1958 až 1963, kdy vytvářela pořady velmi těsně spjaté se školními osnovami, se přiklonila k liberálnímu, spíše zábavnímu než instrukčnímu trendu dramaturgické koncepce. Televizní vysílání pro školy v této fázi navazovalo na televizní vysílání pro školní kluby a družiny a bylo vnímáno jako součást kontextu volnočasových aktivit. První vysílané pořady byly uváděny v čase posledních vyučovacích hodin, na pomezí času školních povinností a po-školní zábavy. Okolnosti sledování pořadů nebyly v rané fázi spojeny jen s časem, ale i s prostorem zábavy. V šedesátých letech sledovaly děti pořady televizního vysílání pro školy zpravidla mimo prostor ideální recepce mimo prostor školní třídy. Podmínky sledování, pozornost a pochopení pořadu byly ovlivňovány umístěním televizního přijímače v prostředí školních sboroven, jídelen, družin, nebo dokonce v bytech učitelů, kde byly podmínky pro adekvátní disciplinaci značně ztíženy. Prvky zábavy se promítaly i v tematicko-formálním ztvárnění pořadů samotných. Většinu pořadů uváděných v šedesátých letech tvořila kombinovaná monotematická pásma, v nichž byl při prezentaci informací kladen důraz na maximální aktualizaci a praktickou využitelnost sdělení. Liberální trend rané etapy televizního vysílání pro školy přerušily politické události roku 1968. Zábavné elementy pedagogických pořadů byly potlačeny novou ideologickou rétorikou a do programu televizního vysílání pro školy začaly být postupně zahrnovány také pořady explicitně propagující zájmy Komunistické strany Československa a logika hry začala ustupovat ideologizované logice disciplíny.

Abstract:

The Television Teacher The game and the discipline in the early Czechoslovak educational television broadcasting (1958-1969) The study focuses on how the institutions of television and school, in particular the Czechoslovak Television, the Ministry of Education and the Research Institute of Education, interacted in the early period of Czechoslovak educational television broadcasting and to what degree was their relationship coordinated by the political power, represented by the Communist Party. Each institution that took part in the process of constitution of the Czechoslovak educational television project made an effort to interpret their common object in a different way. While the Czechoslovak Television thought about the educational television in the logic of a popular entertainment presenting supplementary subject matter, the ambition of pedagogical discourse about Television Broadcasting for Schools was to instruct and accordingly mediate the didactic information, as effectively as possible. The main concern of the study is to stress the pragmatic level of the communication process and to deal with the way the opposite logics of game and of discipline influenced the adaptation suit of foreign models of educational television in the context of the 1960s in Czechoslovakia, how it determinated the spatio-temporal circumstances of school-television viewing and the thematic and formal shape of particular television programmes. In the Czechoslovak context, educational television was appropriated as a supplementary audio-visual teaching aid. After the short period between the years 1958 and 1963, when the thematic shape would fit close to the official school curriculum, television turned to the liberal, more amusing than instructive trend. The Television Broadcasting for Schools then developed the tradition of the television broadcasting for after-school-centres and was grasped as similar to leisure time activity. The first programmes were presented in the last lessons of the timetable, on the frontier between the time of school duties and the time of domestic leisure. The circumstances of viewing were linked not only with the leisure time, but also with the leisure places. In the early period, children watched the programmes of the Television Broadcasting for Schools outside the ideal space for reception outside the classroom. The conditions of watching, childrens attention and their comprehension of the programme were influenced by the location of the television set in the after-school-centres, school dining-rooms and even in the private apartments of teachers, where the potential of supervision and discipline could not correctly function. The elements of entertainment and attractiveness were also involved in the audiovisual material itself. Television programmes for schools were prepared mainly in the genre of combined monothematic shows with the respect for actualization of the school theme, so that the information should be useful in the pupils everyday practice. The television teacher (moderator) situated oneself into the role of the pupils friend, older adviser. This liberal trend, and so the early period, were brought to the end by the political changes of the year 1968. The amusing aspect of Television Broadcasting for Schools was then limited by the communist ideology and propaganda programmes explaining the importance of the Communist Party in the society were inserted between the ordinary educational programmes. The interests of the television institution were submitted to those of the communist ideology and the logic of discipline hence prevailed over the logic of game.
