DLRS in the development of the technological-visual film industry in the 21st century

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis DLRS in the development of the technological-visual film industry in the 21st century focuses on the attributes of this new technology and its impact on contemporary and future cinematography. Charts technological, aesthetic, visual and social character of DSLRs and its wide possibilities in this field. The aim of thesis is also explore community with professional filmmaker leadership and observe an influence in indie film. Resulting from this thesis DSLRs gains unique visual output and regarding to technological aspects and availability its becoming tool of professional filmmakers. At the same time these devices are publicly affordable and with influence of the internet, it disorganizing movie market structure consequently helping to minimize the barrier between professional and indie filmmakers.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca Digitálne zrkadlovky (DSLR) v technologicko-vizuálnom vývoji filmového priemyslu 21. storočia sa zaoberá bližším skúmaním jednotlivých vlastností tejto novej technológie a jej vplyvom na súčasnú a budúcu kinematografiu. Práca mapuje technologickú, estetickú, vizuálnu a sociálnu povahu zrkadloviek a jej rozsiahle filmárske možnosti. Cieľom práce je aj skúmať komunitu na čele s profesionálnymi filmármi, ktorá sa vytvorila okolo tejto technológie a sledovať jej pôsobenie v rámci nezávislého filmu. Z práce vyplýva, že moderné zrkadlovky majú svoj osobitý obraz a vďaka svojim technologickým vlastnostiam a dostupnosti sa postupne stávajú rovnocennými nástrojmi profesionálnych filmárov. Zároveň je táto technológia cenovo dostupná aj širokej verejnosti a vďaka internetu sa narúša obchodno-distribučný model filmového priemyslu a tým pomáha zmenšiť bariéry medzi profesionálnými a amatérkymi filmármi.
