Audit of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises under the new IAASB standard for LCE

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je věnována nově vydanému standardu IAASB pro méně komplexní entity. V práci jsou vysvětleny základní pojmy a klíčové rozdíly mezi SME a LCE. Dále se zaměřuje na samotný standard, kde jednotlivé části jsou zpracovány a shrnuty důležité body pro audit účetní závěrky společnosti, jež odpovídá znakům méně komplexní účetní jednotky. V neposlední řadě diplomová práce představuje praktickou část, v níž je proveden audit na reálné společnosti. Cílem práce je dokázat užitečnost nového standardu ISA pro LCE v praxi.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is dedicated to the newly issued standard IAASB for Less Complex Entities. The thesis explains basic concepts and main differences between SMEs and LCEs. Furthermore, it focuses on the standard itself, where individual parts are processed and important points for auditing the financial statements of a company that meets characteristics of a less complex entity are summarized. Finally, the diploma thesis represents a practical part, where an audit is conducted on a real company. The aim of this thesis is to demonstrate the usefulness of the new ISA for LCE standard in practice.
