Abstract:

Bakalářská práce s názvem Podepsat se sprejem je zaměřena na kontroverzní kulturní fenomén - graffiti. Práce se zamýšlí nad estetickými kvalitami, které v sobě graffiti může nést. Neopomíjí však ani takové charakteristiky, jež stojí mimo umělecké možnosti tohoto fenoménu a přímo jej formují. V práci je záměrně odkazováno na vznik a počátky graffiti, především pak v České republice. Zvlášť se pak práce soustřeďuje na Maniaca, prvního českého graffiti tvůrce. Následně práce prezentuje vybrané umělce současnosti, kteří při své tvorbě z graffiti bezprostředně vychází a více či méně se tomuto žánru vzdalují. V praktické části práce jsou popsány techniky a postupy, které jsou pro tvorbu graffiti zásadní. Dominujícím prvkem praktické části je takzvaný tag - stylizovaný "sprejerský podpis". Z něj vychází autorský výtvarný výstup, vzniklý na motivy tématu práce.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis, entitled as Spray signatures, deals with graffiti - a controversial cultural phenomenon. The thesis reflects on the aesthetic qualities that graffiti often contains. However, it also describes such characteristics that co-create the essence of graffiti but stand outside its artistic values. Intentionally, the thesis refers to the origin and beginnings of graffiti, with a special focus on the Czech Republic. In particular, the thesis focuses on Maniac, the first Czech graffiti artist. Furthermore, it presents selected contemporary artists, whose art is directly based on graffiti. The practical part describes techniques and methods essential for creating graffiti. The main element of this part is a so-called tag - a stylized "spray signature". The author's artwork is based on the motifs of this thesis.
