Reforming the pension system in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá aktuálně schváleným návrhem důchodové reformy v ČR. V první části práce je popsána historie důchodového sytému až po současnost včetně důvodu neudržitelnosti současné koncepce důchodových systémů jak v ČR tak v EU. Následuje komparace důchodových systémů vybraných zemí EU a popis současné schválené důchodové reformy včetně novel, které jí předcházely. Poslední část práce analyzuje tuto důchodovou reformu a autorka zde upozorňuje na možná úskalí do budoucnosti. V závěru pak uvádí svůj vlastní postoj k důchodové reformě.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the currently approved draft of pension reform in the Czech Republic The first part describes the history of the pension system to the present including the reason for unsustainability of the current draft of pension systems both in Czech Republic and the EU. The following patr contain comparison of pension systems of selected EU countries and description of the current approved pension reforms, including changes. The last part of this work analyzes the pension reform, and author also the draws attention to possible pitfalls in the future. In conclusion, author stated her own position on pension reform.
