Práce pojednává o univerzální gravitaci v díle Isaaca Newtona a zejména se zaměřuje na metodologii knihy „Philosophiae naturalis principia mathematica“. V první části je Newtonova filozofie uvedeno do intelektuálního kontextu vědecké revoluce. Na ni navazuje představení „Principií“ a pojednání o fyzikální síle, zejména gravitaci. This thesis deals with universal gravity in a work of Isaac Newton and especially with methodology of a writing called “Philosophiae naturalis principia mathematica“. In the first part Newton´s philosophy is placed in an intellectual context of the scientific revolution. Following part introduces “Principia” and discusses physical forces, particularly gravity.
