Dance education in Czech Republic with focus on the city of Brno

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Výuka tance v ČR se zaměřením na město Brno“ přináší pohled na současnou podobu výuky tance v České republice. Vymezuje dva systémy této výuky, a to formální a neformální, v nichž spatřuje jisté odlišnosti a nedostatky. Stanovuje hypotézu, již dokládá podrobným popisem obou systémů a uvedené údaje se snaží podepřít konkrétními daty pocházejícími od vybraných subjektů působících ve formálním i neformálním systému. Na základě těchto dat se rovněž pokouší o jejich komparaci. Práce je zaměřena pouze na brněnské prostředí, v němž vybrané subjekty působí. V neformálním systému je fokusace navíc zúžena pouze na taneční oblast street dance.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis „Dance education in Czech Republic with focus on the city of Brno” gives a view of the present form of dance education in Czech Republic. It defines two systems of education, formal and informal, in which it finds several differences and insufficiencies. It forms a hypothesis supported by detailed description of both of the systems, and attempts to back the statements up with specific data gathered from subjects chosen from both formal and informal dance education systems. Based on these data, it also tries to compare the systems. This thesis is focused purely on the city of Brno, where the subjects mentioned are located. The focus of the informal system is narrowed to street dance.
