Motives for choosing the teaching profession

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá motivy volby profese učitele. Záměrem práce je zjistit, jaké jsou motivačních faktory k výběru profese učitele u studentů učitelství 1. stupně základní školy před vstupem na vysokou školu. Teoretická část je orientována na pojetí osobnosti učitele, motivační faktory v profesi učitele, profesní přípravu a volbu učitelské profese. Ve výzkumné části bylo záměrem zjistit, zda u studentů při výběru studia učitelství převažují motivy vnitřní či vnější, které zahrnují i případnou přípravu k tomuto studiu, a jestli volbu ovlivňují také pozitivní či negativní představy o učitelské profesi. Jako výzkumné metody byly využity dotazník a rozhovor. Závěr diplomové práce shrnuje výsledky a interpretace výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with motives for choosing the teaching profession. The aim of thesis is to find out what are the motivational factors to the choice of career of teacher at the students of first grade of the primary school before the entrance into the university. The teoretical part is focused on the conception of the character of teacher, motivational factors in the career of teacher, vocational preparation and choice of career. In the practical part is intended to find out what motives are predominating at the students when are choosing the study of teaching. If the motives are internal or external that are including the potential preparation to that study and positive or negative ideas about the career of teacher. The interview and questionnaire were used like the researching methods. The final section summarizes the results and interpretation of the research.
