Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá analýzou dvou absurdních dramat, Mechanický číšník a Pokoj, od Harolda Pintera. Absurdní drama je společně s existencialismem zasazeno do historicko-kulturního kontextu a specifika absurdních her jsou popsána. Hlavním předmětem analýzy jsou absurdní prvky a především prvky hrozby, které jsou základním kamenem těchto kusů.

Abstract:

The subject of this paper is the analysis of two pieces of the Theatre of the Absurd, The Dumb Waiter and The Room, by Harold Pinter. The Theatre of the Absurd and existentialism are contextualized and the specifics of the plays of the Absurd are described. The analysis focuses on the elements of absurdity and, above all, menace which create the fundamental part of these plays.
