Aim of this work is to study the selected aspects of the depiction of love in Toiles of the Sea by Victor Hugo, Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert and Nana by Émile Zola and to find out whether they exhibit traits attributed to the movements related to these pieces. Cílem práce je zkoumat na základě vybraných aspektů lásku vyskytující se v dílech Dělníci moře od Victora Huga, Paní Bovaryová od Gustava Flauberta a Nana od Émila Zoly a zjistit, zda se shodují s typickými rysy období, ke kterým se díla vztahují.
