The thesis is written in English.
Abstract:
The thesis analyzes the short prose of Edgar Allan Poe and Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald. It aims at pointing out respective proximities in between the two authors' writings and links them to their biographies. As the main topics, social interaction and the notion of death, are analyzed and their roles within the frameworks of the two authors' works are demonstrated.
