Abstract:

Na teoretické poloze výběr dividendové politiky předpokládá v první řadě řešení klíčové otázky: zda hodnota dividendy ovlivňuje tržní hodnotu firmy. V teorii dividendové politiky jsou k této otázce dva základní přístupy. První odůvodňuje, že dividendová politika je irelevantní k hodnotě akciové společnosti. Podstata druhého přístupu je opakem: dividendový podíl, který ovlivňuje náklady spojené s externím financováním a náklady zastoupení, povede podle této školy i k růstu tržní hodnoty společnosti. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou vlivu vyplacení dividend na tržní hodnotu akcií podniků a nalezením argumentů pro potvrzení jedné z těchto hypotéz. Hlavním cílem práce bylo zkoumání a prokázání na vzorku firem, jestli dividenda je relevantní k hodnotě firmy, anebo není. V teoreticko – metodické části jsou prohlednuté dosažené teoretické poznatky v této oblastí, a sice: podstata dividend, jejích druhy a formy výplaty, faktory ovlivňující dividendovou politiku. Rozebírají se vývoj teorií o dividendové politice a otázka relevance dividend a tržní hodnoty firmy jako hypotetická funkce poměru dividendy na akcii. V praktické části jsou tyto skutečnosti aplikované na české ekonomické prostředí. Je zde podrobná ekonomická analýza současné praxi výplaty dividend českými společnostmi, jsou vypočteny základní ukazatelé tržní hodnoty podniku a metodami statistické analýzy je prozkoumán vliv vyplácení dividend na hodnotu firmy cestou výpočtu míry závislosti cen akcií na dividendách. Na základě této analýzy byly vypracované metodické doporučení pro vytvoření optimální dividendové politiky.

Abstract:

From the theoretical position the dividend policy selection consider primarily the key problem solving: whether the value of dividends affects the market value of the company. In the theory of dividend policy there are two basic approaches. The first one gives reason that dividend policy is irrelevant to the value of the stock company. The substance of the second approach is the opposite: the dividend ratio, which affects the cost associated with external funding and representation costs, according to this school will also increase the market value of the company. This thesis is concerned with analysis of the impact of dividend payments to the market value of shares and with finding arguments for the confirmation to one of these hypotheses. The main goal was the exploration and authentication on a sample of firms, if the dividend is relevant to the value of the company or not. In the theoretical - methodological part there are viewed achieved theoretical knowledge’s in this area, namely: the substance of dividends, their types and forms of payment, factors affecting dividend policy. The development of theories of dividend policy and the relevance of dividends question and the market value of the company as a hypothetical function of the dividend on share ratio are analyzed. In the practical part, these factors are applied to the Czech economic environment. There is the detailed economic analysis of the current practice of dividend payments by Czech companies, the basic indicators of the market value are calculated and by the statistical analysis methods it is examined the influence of the dividend payments on the company value through the calculation of the measure of the share prices dependence on dividends. Methodical recommendations for the creation of an optimal dividend policy have been developed on the basis of this analysis.
