Comparison of Bank Efficiency in Europe and China

Abstract:

Banking is the core of modern economy, it is market intermediary and the foundation of social credit, and it is the one of the most industry that people enthusiastic concerned.we aim to compare selected banks efficiency in China and the European Union from 2008 to 2012, and it has to through calculating some financial indicator to analyse the comparison of the selected banks from China and European Union.This thesis contains five chapters. The first part will be introduction, mainly introduce the procedure of thesis. The second part will introduce banking in general, including the core role, the types of bank and regulation of bank. And we will describe banking in China and the European Union, which contains of the macroeconomic in china and European Union, history of banking, structure and regulation in banking sector.The third part will describe the methodology of financial ratios, which were chosen to analyse for the selected bank. In the fourth part we will choose 5 the largest banks from China and European Union respectively,we will analysis the different between the selected banks of China and European Union with figures according the results. After that, a summary will be included and to show the main results from the comparison. The fifth part will be conclusion and there will be the main result that we summarize from the thesis.
