Abstract:

Role informačních a komunikačních technologií v jazykové přípravě vysokoškolskýcg studentů Disertační práce se zabývá problematikou využití informačních a komunikačních technologií ve výuce anglického jazyka při přípravě studentů k rezortní zkoušce podle STANAG 6001 na Fakultě ekonomiky a managementu Univerzity obrany Práce je zaměřena na zjištění vlivu ICT na rozvoj všech řečových dovedností. Z provedeného výzkumného šetření vyplynulo, že pokud studenti při studiu využívají ICT, subjektivně pociťují zlepšení, oceňují především snížení strachu z chyb, získávají větší jistotu a sebevědomí při mluvení. V průběhu výzkumného šetření studenti absolvovali vstupní testy, po kterých následovala výuka ve třech rozdílných skupinách. Při výuce v celkové délce dvou semestrů studenti jednotlivých skupin využívali buď výukový program Partnership for Learning Pilot Program, Studijní portál, WebQuesty nebo internet. Na základě statistického vyhodnocení výsledků výstupních testů vyplynulo, že existují statisticky významné rozdíly v dovednosti poslechu s porozuměním a v dovednosti mluvení. Ze součtu výsledků výstupních testů a jejich statistického vyhodnocení byla u všech dovedností prokázána rozdílná úroveň (čtení s porozuměním, poslech s porozuměním, mluvení a psaní). Uvedené výsledky potvrzují pozitivní vliv ICT na rozvoj produktivních i receptivních řečových dovedností, tedy obecně na výuku anglického jazyka.

Abstract:

The Role of Information and Communication Technologies in the Language Training of University Students The thesis deals with the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the language training during the students´ preparation for STANAG 6001 language exam at the Faculty of Economics and Management, of the University of Defence. The main focus is to identify the influence of ICT on verbal communication skills. The executed research has shown that if the students use ICT during their language training, they subjectively feel enhancement of their language skills. In the first place the students appreciate the fact they overcome the fear of making mistakes and gain self-assurance and self-confidence in speaking. During the research the students took entrance test after which they continued in their language training in three different groups. The training took two semesters and students of particular groups used either Partnership for Learning Pilot Program, Study Portal, WebQuest or Internet during their studies. It resulted from the statistical evaluation of final tests that there were statistically significant differences in listening comprehension and speaking. The sum of results of final tests and the statistical evaluation of all verbal communication skills demonstrate the different level of results in all skills i.e. listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing and speaking. The results show the positive influence of ICT on the development of both productive and receptive skills and thus on English language training in general.
