Kuhn-Tucker Optimality Conditions

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je formulovat a dokázat zobecněnou Kuhn-Tuckerovu větu, která na Banachových prostorech stanovuje nutné podmínky pro existenci extrému funkce na určené oblasti. Úvodní kapitola stručně shrnuje historické souvislosti původní Kuhn-Tuckerovy práce a popisuje motivační úlohu. V druhé kapitole uvádíme potřebné pojmy a tvrzení, které připravují prostředí pro samotnou větu, jejíž formulace a důkaz jsou předmětem kapitoly třetí. Ve čtvrté kapitole krátce demonstrujeme větu na konkrétních případech.

Abstract:

The main purpose of this thesis is the formulation and proof of the generalized Kuhn-Tucker theorem, which gives necessary conditions for existence of extreme of a function with respect to inequality constraints on Banach spaces. The first chapter briefly summarizes historical circumstances of the original Kuhn-Tucker's document and describes motivation. In the second chapter we introduce the necessary terms and propositions preparing the environment for the theorem itself, which is formulated and proved in the chapter three. In the fourth chapter we shortly demonstrate the theorem on several cases.
