Psylological Stress and Mental Hygiene in the Work Place - the Role of management

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce řeší otázku problematiky psychické zátěže a stresových faktorů působících na výkon manažerské funkce v oboru pojišťovnictví. Ve své práci vycházím ze svých, dlouholetých zkušenosti ve spolupráci s početnými týmy prodejců motorových vozidel různých značek na území České republiky. Obě strany zdolávají různé zátěžové situace při komunikaci s obchodními partnery, u kterých musí předvést profesionální přístup. Teoretická část práce vychází z terminologie stresu, stresových faktorů a psychické zátěže, s kterou si museli poradit i naši předkové v minulosti. Praktická část je rozdělena na dvě poloviny. První polovina se zaměřuje na úlohu manažera v oblasti pojišťovnictví a stres spojený s psychickou zátěží při výkonu své profese. Ve druhé polovině se zmiňují o konkrétní formě spolupráce s obchodními týmy prodejců motorových vozidel a manažera. Pozornost bude věnována především komunikaci s klienty, kteří mají zájem o koupi vozidla a řeší s prodejcem financování u leasingové a pojišťovací společnosti. Nezbytná a psychicky náročná kontrola činnosti prodejců prostřednictvím Mystery shopping ukáže na konkrétním případě, jak je hodnocen prodejce, pro danou značku. Cílem práce bude objasnit, zda stresové faktory, s kterými se obě strany setkávají téměř každý den, dokážou ovlivnit jejich pracovní i osobní život. Na závěr bude zmíněno pár cenných rad, které jsou čerpány z dlouholeté praxe manažera.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of mental stress and stress factors affecting the performance of the manager in the insurance industry. The thesis is based on my long- term experience of co-operation with numerous sales teams of motor vehicles of various makes in the Czech Republic. Both parties cope with various stressing situations in communication with business partners when they have to demonstrate a professional approach. The theoretical part describes the terminology of stress, stress factors and mental pressure which our ancestors faced and had to deal with in the past. The practical part is divided into two parts. The first one is focused on a position of the manager in insurance industry and the stress associated with mental pressure at performing his/her profession. Attention will be paid primarily to communication with clients who are interested in purchasing of a vehicle and solve financing at the leasing and insurance companies with the sales person. Necessary and mentally demanding control of sales person´s activities by means of mystery shopping will show how the sales person for a given make is assessed. The aim of the thesis is to find out if the stress factors that both parties face every day influence their working and personal lives. In the end there will be mentioned a few useful tips that are based on long-term experience of the manager.
