Development of interactive applications controlled by eye movement

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá možnosti využití "eye trackingu" pro inteligentní neurokognitivní rehabilitační systém "Eddie", který je určen pro pacienty s omezenou motorikou, po úrazech hlavy a s neurologickými postiženími. Primárním cílem bylo vytvoření webové aplikace v programovacím jazyce JavaScript. Na základě této aplikace bylo možné otestovat citlivost a chybovost zvoleného zařízení. Výzkumný soubor byl tvořen deseti dobrovolníky, kteří testovali zařízení prostřednictvím vytvořené aplikace. Výsledky ukazuji, že námi zvolené zařízení nesplňuje podmínky využitelnosti pro systém "Eddie". Zařízení vykazovalo vysokou citlivost, nestabilitu a skokový přechod kurzoru.

Abstract:

This work deals with the use of "eye tracking" for the intelligent neurocognitive rehabilitation system "Eddie", which is designed for patients with limited motorcycle, head injuries and neurological disorders. The primary goal was to create a web application in the JavaScript programming language. Based on this application, it was possible to test the sensitivity and error rate of the selected device. The research group was made up of ten volunteers who tested the device through the created application. The results show that the device selected by us does not meet the "Eddie" usability conditions. The device showed high sensitivity, instability and jump transition.
