Object – integrated component of theatre score

Abstract:

Divadlo objektů je stále ještě poměrně neusazený a rozvíjející se divadelní druh. Jak tato magisterská práce dokládá, neplatí zažitý názor, že by jej obohacovali pouze tvůrci rekrutující se z řad progresivních loutkářů – kteří jsou v tuzemském kontextu považováni za jeho hlavní představitele. Jednou z dalších výrazných divadelních tradic, která významným způsobem zasahuje do vývoje tohoto performativního proudu, je post-cageovské hudební divadlo. Tato práce porovnává východiska obou divadelních druhů a jejich vliv na současnou objektovou scénu. Ve druhé části této práce se autor věnuje analýze vlastního inscenačního projektu, Thunder. Enter the three witches. Do hloubky jsou zde rozebírána estetická i dramaturgická východiska projektu, jeho vlastní kreativní proces a nakonec i jeho výsledný tvar, ke kterému autor ve spolupráci s celým inscenačním týmem dospěl. Autor se snaží upozornit na určité zlomové body v procesu tvorby, které ho vedly k rozhodnutí určitá východiska přehodnotit, evoluovat je, či případně od nich úplně opustit – ať už z toho důvodu, že se ukázala být v rámci celku nefunkční, či z příčin vnějších, popřípadě technických, bylo nutno učinit nějaký kompromis.

Abstract:

Object theatre is still quite unsettled and developing type of theatre. As this master thesis demonstrates, it is not enriched only by creators recruiting from the ranks of progressive puppeteers, who are considered to be its main representatives in the domestic context. One of the other important theatrical traditions that significantly influences the development of this performance stream is the post-Cagean musical theatre. This work compares the starting points of both theatrical types and their influence on the contemporary object scene. Author’s practical artistic project, Thunder. Enter the Three Witches., is analysed in the second part of this thesis. The aesthetical and dramaturgical approaches of the project, its creative process and its final shape, which the author in cooperation with the whole production team has developed, are deeply discussed. Author describes certain turning points of the process of creation, which led him to decide to reconsider certain starting points, evolve them, or eventually to abandon them completely - either because they proved to be non-functional or because of external or technical reasons, some compromise had to be made.
