The COVID-19 pandemic, which struck worldwide in 2020, had a profound effect on a variety of aspects of human existence. Restrictions imposed on businesses' and independent contractors' operations and activities, or even their complete liquidation, resulted in higher unemployment in several parts of Slovakia.
