Aspekty grotesky a odcizení, které se objevují v německé, anglické a americké romantické próze, jsou v této próze často ztvárňovány prostřednictvím motivu dvojníka. The aspects of grotesque and estrangement, appearing in German, English and American romantic fiction, are often presented within the motif of doppelganger. In the Slovak interbellum fiction, the grotesque and estrangement present within doppelganger appear again. However, their perception and meaning had changed.
