Employment of People with Mental Disorders, focused on People with Affective Disorders

Abstract:

Diplomová práce "Zaměstnávání osob s duševním onemocněním, zaměřeno na osoby s afektivními poruchami" je členěna do dvou hlavních částí. První část diplomové práce je věnována teoretickému vhledu do tematiky zaměstnávání osob s duševním onemocněním. První kapitoly proto pojednávají jak o samotné problematice duševního onemocnění, tak o významu, přínosech a rizikách práce pro jedince s duševním onemocněním. Druhá, klíčová část práce vychází z dotazníkového šetření, provedeného v kraji Vysočina a v Jihomoravském kraji v období září – listopad 2011. Cílem tohoto šetření bylo zjistit, jak se zaměstnavatelé v České republice v odvětví stavebnictví (pozemní práce), strojírenství, zahradnictví, květinářství, šicí dílny, hotely, restaurace, výroba bižuterie a keramiky, obchod a prodej (knihkupectví, papírnictví) staví k problematice zaměstnávání osob s duševním onemocněním, konkrétně s afektivní poruchou. Výzkumné šetření bylo uskutečněno prostřednictvím elektronického dotazníku s otevřenými otázkami a analýzy dokumentů.

Abstract:

The thesis "Employment of people with Mental Disorders, focused on People with Affective Disorders" is divided into two main parts. The first part of the thesis is devoted to theoretical knowledge about the theme employment of people with mental disorders. First chapters deal with the issue of mental disorders as well as with the importance, benefits and the risks that work poses for people with mental disorders. The second part is a key part of this work. It is based on a questionnaire’s research which was took place in the Highlands and the South Moravian Region from September to November 2011. The aim of this research was to determine how the employers the construction sector (building work), engineering, horticulture, floriculture, hotels, restaurants, jewellery and ceramics production, trade and sales (bookstores, stationery) approach the possibility of providing job opportunities to persons with mental disorders, specifically with affective disorder. The survey was carried out by the use of electronic questionnaire with open questions and the analysis of documents.
