The Financial Analysis of the Company "ČD - Telematika a.s." (joint stock company)

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce bylo provedení finanční analýzy společnosti ČD - Telematika a.s. za účetní období 2005 - 2009. Výchozím bodem se stala první část této práce, kde byl s využitím odborných pramenů uvedených v přiložené bibliografii položen teoretický základ finanční analýzy. To obnášelo zejména konkrétní uvedení postupů horizontální a vertikální analýzy nebo analýzy rozdílových ukazatelů. Rozsáhlejší část byla věnována metodice výpočtu poměrových ukazatelů. Ve střední části byla ve stručnosti představena firma ČD - Telematika a.s., její předmět činnosti, vlastnická struktura nebo používaný interní informační systém. Pak následovala praktická část, kde byly výše zmíněné teoretické poznatky aplikovány při praktické finanční analýze. Důraz byl kladen na sledování jednotlivých ukazatelů v časové řadě. Výraznější odchylky byly blíže okomentovány a některé ukazatele byly rovněž porovnány s průměrnými hodnotami v odvětví. Celou finanční analýzu pak doprovodilo grafické vyjádření vybraných hodnot a ukazatelů. V závěrečné části byly shrnuty výsledky finanční analýzy, zhodnoceno finanční zdraví firmy a navrženy možnosti pro zlepšení. Po provedené analýze můžeme konstatovat, že firma ČD - Telematika a.s. má relativně dobré finanční zdraví i stabilitu, což se projevilo zejména v r. 2009. Zapracuje-li management na zvýšení rentability a aktivity, může firma očekávat otevřenou cestu k prosperitě.

Abstract:

The main target of this Bachelor thesis was the financial analysis of the company ČD - Telematika Inc. in an account period from the year 2005 to the year 2009. The initial item of this thesis was the first part of this work. There the theoretical base of the financial analysis was laid up. I used some expert sources of information that are written in the bibliography of this work. The concrete process of horizontal and vertical analysis or analysis of divergence indicators were described here. The more extensive part of this work was dedicated to methodology of rate indicators calculation. In the middle part there was shortly introduced the company ČD - Telematika Inc., its subject activity, proprietary structure or its internal information system used today. Then the practical part succeeded. There the aforementioned theoretical knowledge was applied to the practical financial analysis. Single indicators in the time series monitoring was accentuated. More marked deviations were more closely expounded and some indicators were compared with average value in sector. The whole financial analysis was put in the graph. In the last part of the work there was given a summary of all results of financial analysis, the financial health of the firm was assessed and some improving possibilities were propounded. After this well-done analysis we can say, that the company ČD - Telematika Inc. has got quite good financial health and its stability too. It was shown especially in the year 2009. If the management increases its profitability and activity, the firm will be able to expect the open way to its prosperity.
