The Authenticity in the Poetry by I. M. Jirous

Abstract:

Předkládaná bakalářská práce analyzuje básnickou tvorbu Ivana Martina Jirouse z hlediska autenticity. Vychází při tom z Jirousem teoreticky definovaných zásad undergroundového hnutí. Metodou analýzy a následné interpretace zkoumá, zda a jak se autenticita jako programní Jirousův požadavek objevuje v jeho vlastních básnických textech, a to v rovině tematické a formální. Na konkrétních příkladech poukazuje na provázanost autorského a lyrického subjektu a motivickou podmíněnost mimoliterárními souvislostmi. V rámci analýzy je nejprve básníkovo dílo zařazeno do společenskopolitického kontextu, proto je v práci věnován značný prostor charakteristice a periodizaci českého undergroundu, zejména období sedmdesátých let. Následně je však dílo z tohoto kontextu vyvázáno a je ověřována případná přetrvávající životnost autenticity, která je současně obhajována jako významná literárněvědná kategorie.

Abstract:

Submitted bachelor's thesis analyses the poetry of Ivan Martin Jirous from the authenticity point of view. The thesis is based on theoretical rules of the underground movement defined by Jirous. By analysis and subsequent interpretation it examines whether there is an authenticity demanded in Jirous' program and how this authenticity appears in his own poetry – both on thematic and formal level. On concrete examples it points at the cohesion between an auctorial and lyrical subject, as well as at motivic conditionality by extra-literal connections. At first, within the scope of analysis, is the poet's work placed into the socialpolitical context. This is why there is a large space given to characteristics and periodization of the Czech underground movement, particularly the 1970's period. Afterwards, Jirous' work is brought out of context and the appropriate vitality of the work's authenticity is being checked and defended as an important literary academic category.
